BOTSWANA
Honorable chair and distinguished delegates,
The delegation of Botswana wishes to thank the General Assembly for its attendance today in order to properly respond to the trying events that are current occurring in our world today. We are thankful to all nations involved for their willingness to cooperate and solve the problems that humanity is faced with. We look forward to the opening of discussion towards the basic rights of human beings, especially those in foreign lands.
The Delegation of Botswana feels that the conflict arising from worldwide, terror driven, kidnappings must be resolved. We feel that it is necessary for the United Nations to create new efficient task forces and organizations in order to restore human allotted for all individuals. Additionally, we feel that it is necessary for all countries involved in the problem of kidnapping to take a stance during this meeting in order to resolve the international problem of kidnapping.
The Republic of Botswana understands the problems that human trafficking has had throughout history. It has become of great importance for nations to absolve problems such as these among their own governments. While the Delegation of Botswana recognizes human trafficking to also be a problem, we recognize it to be a problem for sovereign nations to act independent of any international standard. This fight is one in which should be absolved autonomously with great amounts of digression. Botswana’s delegation feels that this problem is one to be absolved as the latter of all other issues on the docket.
The Delegation of Botswana recognize that illegal immigration is a universal problem, as well as one which leads to unwanted turmoil between bordering nations; therefore it is necessary for this problem to be resolved in its entirety. Additionally, because this problem is one that is always the subject of two or more countries with a highly disputed border, it is necessary for a third party such as the United Nations to come forth in order to solve the problem in a the most peaceful manner available. Illegal immigration is a problem which is not exclusive to the EU, and is a setback which troubles nations worldwide. Meetings such as these are made so that the General Assembly to find a feasible solution.
The delegation of Botswana greatly appreciates the involvement of all of your countries in this Meeting of the United Nations. We look forward to discussion and debate which will foster passionate, efficient, and rational responses to the problems that we are here to resolve. We are eager to speak to as many of the nations present as possible and we hope to reach agreements that will benefit all. From the esteemed nation of Botswana we thank you. Ke itumetse.
